These two scarves both used the same technique but ended up very different.
I used pure chiffon silk as the base but then added some synthetic lace scraps over the top stuck together with merino as a kind of wooly glue.
As the merino shrank the lace was distorted which gave the texture. You can see how on this scarf it became quite "bubbly".




On this black scarf the lace didnt bubble as much but the silver stitching stood out well on the black background. It ended up with a very retro sort of look. I have to say both recipients were thrilled with their gifts. Yay!!!
